On Friday the 25th of November 2022 .
Voice of Marah Foundation in collaboration with Mariechris Foundation sponsored a project for the girls in Owerri Tagged. -Dear Girl , LIVE ! LEAD !! BEFORE LEAVING !!!
The event which took place at Rockview hotel had many resource persons in attendance .
Also present at the event was the commissioner for Tourism Imo State Mazi Uche Ohia who showed up with the Special Advicer to the Governor on Arts and culture Sir Paddy .
The Special Advicer to the Abia State Governor on gender matters Mrs Frances Olisa Ogbonnaya was also present at the event to encourage young girls on how to lead an award winning life .
Doctor Sandra Ndukuba a medical practicioner stressed that every girl should form the habit of keeping clean expecially during their monthly flow.
Brands like Nurish and grow were present at the event to teach the girls how to make beauty products like hair cream and disinfectants both for their own use and commercial use .
They also learnt how to produce facinators with simple materials .this class was well attended by the fashion lovers in their midst .
The organizers of this event connected with the UBA team who came to the event and opened savings accounts for most of the young people who didn’t have an account before the event.
The girls learnt the basics of crypto and were happy at the end of the event .
It was a great event and we are convinced that the girls will live ,lead before leaving !!!
