BREAKING:Former President Robert Mugabe dies.

Information that has reached Jetymedia reveals that the former President of Zimbabwe, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, died early this morning on 6 September 2019. He was 95 years of age. Though the cause of death is yet to be established, the nonagenarian was featured in recent pictures not looking his brooding self and had signs of old age having taken its toll on him.

Mugabe is said to have ruled Zimbabwe with an iron fist, from 1980 up until a ‘coup-not-coup’ that took place in November 2017. Though he will be remembered for his hard-handedness, in recent months, many have stated that they’d prefer the rule of Robert Mugabe to that of current President, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Earlier this year reports were made that Mugabe had flown to Singapore to receive medical attention, though in recent years that was not something peculiar as he’d fly to Eastern Asia on a regular basis.

It will be interesting to see the position that the ruling party takes in regards to Mugabe’s burial, as he is said to have opposed to being buried at the National Heroes Acre, a shrine where Zimbabwean war heroes and contributors to the development of the nation are buried.
